Some of our Daily activities include art and messy experiences, sensory activities, physical opportunities both indoors and outdoors. All learning opportunities are designed and based around each individual child’s interests and needs.

We use an app called ‘Famly’ which is used for various things – recording children’s learning and development, keeping up to date with parents/carers throughout the nursery day, recording children’s eating and nappy changes. There is also an option on the app to Private message our staff members.

Upon enrolling each family will be given the opportunity to fill in an ‘All About Me’ form – this paperwork will ensure that our Practitioners know all of your child’s needs to help us to support them with their transition into Little People Nursery.

Each child will be allocated a ‘Keyworker’ – (a member of staff), who will be responsible for creating positive relationships and recording all learning and development.

We compose monthly newsletters to allow parents/carers to keep up to date with important information and events which are taking place within the nursery.

Stay and play sessions are planned throughout the year to allow our parents the opportunity to come in and spend some time with their children in the setting – this also allows the opportunity to discuss learning and development with your child’s key worker.

We provide suncream for children to use (Asda Sensitive Factor 50) in the summer months – please provide own if children have sensitive skin, and sun hats to be provided by parents/carers. We follow the UV chart for application of suncream.

The nursery has some wetsuits available for the children to use in the wetter months but own wetsuits which are labelled with names are welcome. Wellies are to be provided for children to allow access to outdoor areas in all weathers.
